About this event

A special in-conversation event with Joanne Snrech, Curator in charge of Paintings, Musée national Picasso-Paris and Janet McLean, Curator of Modern Art at the National Gallery of Ireland.

Set within the elegant Hôtel Salé, a 17th‑century mansion in Le Marais, the Musée Picasso in Paris houses the largest public collection of Picasso’s work in the world. Following Picasso’s death in 1973, key works and archival material were donated by his heirs – ensuring the museum’s foundational holding came straight from the artist’s studio. With over 5,000 artworks — covering paintings, sculptures, ceramics, prints, notebooks, photographs, and personal correspondence—and tens of thousands of archival items, the museum offers a permanent display of a richly layered view of Picasso’s artistic evolution.
